| I am one of those crazy liberals. I am a huge advocate of gay rights, as well as the rights of women. I think all people were created equally, and one should have access to the same rights and freedoms as the next person. I'm not a religion or politics pusher, but if given the opportunity, I will share my opinions on both. I don't have a lot of respect for those who do those things in an unsolicited manner. I am in my twenties, and still do not know what I want to do with my life. I have not finished school, and do not have a "real world, nine to five" job. However, I know I will figure it out someday, unless it is right under my nose. For the time being, I try to do freelance writing, but usually just end up blogging. As a warning, I get heated in my blogs, especially about politics and religion. I am a huge fan and writer of brutal op-eds, especially those of the political persuasion. My musical taste varies, and changes on a daily basis, it seems. I am child of the 80's and 90's, and enjoy music from both, as well as some music from this day and age. If I had to choose a favorite band, it'd be Dashboard Confessional. My favorite solo musician is John Mayer... Okay, and Alanis Morissette. My taste in movies and TV shows is as eclectic as my taste in music. I can enjoy chick flicks to horror movies all in the same day. I follow the Saw movies fanatically. As for television, the channels of choice are usually ABC Family or Bravo. My favorite show ever is Gilmore Girls, and not even Gilmore Rehab would cure my addiction. My heart always excitedly awaits January, when a new season of American Idol blooms. However, my choice never wins. My personality type is ENFJ (the same as Bill Clinton.) I have been called liberal, and a bit of a hippie. I do care about the environment (recycle!) and tend to be a free spirit, rather than go with the crowd. I am a leader, and not a follower, most of the time. I am married to the most wonderful man in the world (January 14, 2008) who puts up with me, no matter what I am going through. I honestly do not know what I would do without him. We live in a conservative county (Bedford,) in Virginia, where everyone knows everyone's business. I long to get out of here, but at the same time, thinking about doing so worries me. Bedford is Dramaville, and when I want to get away from it all, I really enjoy visiting my husband's family in Beckley, West Virginia. All in all, if I had to choose a song that summed up my life right now, I always have to say "Hand in my Pocket" by Alanis Morissette. I am complicated, yet simple all in one. |
